Graf von Westphalen's Hamburg office moves
On December 19, 2011, the law firm packed up its old offices in the Galleria and moved into the newly rebuilt "Alte Post."
Dr. Robert Theissen, Managing Partner at Graf von Westphalen:
"We deliberately chose this beautiful building in the city center, which is located directly next door to our old office: aside from its prime location, we were particularly drawn to the building's special charm and unique blend of history and modernity. With its state-of-the-art furnishings, spacious conference area and ideal floor plan, the building provides us with enough room to grow in the future."
Demolition work on the building began in 2009, leaving the historic building's façade intact. The structure was completely gutted and the original ceiling heights of the historic building were restored. The investment volume of the project initiated by Alstria Office Reit-AG, the UK company Stenham Property Limited and the Hamburg-based company Quantum Immobilien AG totals about €75 million.
"We are pleased that the move went so smoothly and according to schedule," says Robert Theissen. "Our team did an excellent job coordinating the move."
The new offices are located on the third to sixth floors of the historic building and cover a total area of about 3,500 m² - enough state-of-the-art space to comfortably accommodate around 120 employees (51 of whom are lawyers).
