Robert Alan Heym was last a non-equity partner at Reed Smith LLP. He began his career in 1998 at Andersen Luther/Luther Menold. He has years' of experience in company law and general commercial law including M&A, private equity and venture capital. The Rechtsanwalt (lawyer) and Diplom-Kaufmann (business graduate) studied law and economics simultaneously in Munich.

His main area of practice is transaction-related company law. He advises large American and English companies, but also German SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) on complex cross-border issues. Robert Alan Heym will join Graf von Westphalen as a partner with effect from 1 December and will work at the firm's Munich office.
This new recruit further bolsters the Corporate Department in Munich. With Dr. Ernst Lindl, Ulrich Stuhlfelner and Robert Alan Heym the Munich office now has three partners and several associates working in the Corporate Practice Group.
