Carsten Laschet has been appointed as a new member of the Governing Body of the Cologne Diocesan Group of the Bund Katholischer Unternehmer (BKU) [Association of Catholic Entrepreneurs]

The members' meeting of the largest German Diosesan Group has elected Carsten Laschet, a partner at our Cologne office, as a member of the governing body in Cologne.

The Chairman is the well-known funeral director Fritz Roth. Apart from Carsten Laschet, the other members of the governing body are the managing director Martin Gallhöfer, Gisela Manderla, MdR, and the tax adviser Julia Stüssgen.

The Bund Katholischer Unternehmer (BKU) [Association of Catholic Entrepreneuers] is a voluntary association of catholic entrepreneurs and people who work in business. Approximately 1300 entrepreneurs, self-employed, senior managers and academics have united in the BKU in order to discuss current challenges for the economy, politics and society in working groups and diocesan groups and to formulate approaches to resolving the problems.

Carsten Laschet has been practising as a lawyer since 2001 specialising in contract and liability law, particularly in the fields of product liability and the liability of directors and officers as well as the associated insurance-related legal issues. In the Juve Handbook of German Commercial Law Firms 2009/2010 he is recommended as a lawyer in these areas of the law and is listed as a leading name.
