Graf von Westphalen instructed by Delachaux S.A. on the acquisition of the Rolf Plötz Group
Delachaux S.A., a company listed on the Paris stock exchange, has - through its subsidiary, Railtech International S.A. - acquired Rolf Plötz GmbH & Co. KG, Rolf Plötz International GmbH and other affiliated companies in Austria, Poland, Hungary, Mexico and Brazil. It has been agreed that the purchase price will not be disclosed. The companies forming the Rolf Plötz Group will therefore be integrated into Delachaux's Railways division.
Rolf Plötz GmbH & Co. KG is one of the world's leading manufacturers of aluminothermic welding materials for welding railway tracks. The Plotz Group's customers include DB Netz AG, the Austrian Federal Railways as well as the state railways in Denmark, Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, Finland, Taiwan as well as several railway companies in the USA, Mexico and Brazil.
Delachaux S.A. is a listed industrial enterprise and a leader in the areas of rail technology, the transfer of power and data as well as special products for the aeronautical and automotive sectors. Railtech S.A. is the holding company within the Delachaux Group responsible for rail technology. This includes welding technology as well as fastening systems and energy supplies for railways. With approximately 2,500 employees at more than 48 sites throughout the world the Delachaux Group last generated a turnover of more than EUR 700 million. Of this, approximately 55 % was attributable to the rail technology division.
The integration of the Plötz Group will further strengthen this division, particularly in the German, Austrian, Eastern European and South American markets.
