Düsseldorf keeps on growing
From 01.10.2012 GvW's team will be strengthened by Dr Joachim Mulch. Mulch is moving from Noerr and will be a partner at the new Düsseldorf office. His appointment means that the IP/IT practice will be represented at all German offices.
Mulch's key areas of specialisation are patent, design and competition law. His clients include many national and international industrial companies for whom he has successfully litigated numerous disputes. For example, the 42 year old has represented De'Longhi and the SCM Group amongst others.
Dr Kristofer Bott, Practice Group Head IP, IT and Media at GvW commented as follows on the move: "Düsseldorf is one of the most important venues EU-wide, if not worldwide, for patent disputes. This is only one of the many reasons why a proven expert like Joachim Mulch is a perfect fit for our team".
GvW advises and represents medium-sized and large national and international companies on and in intellectual property matters.
"Looking back at GvW's dynamic development over the recent years, I am delighted to be able to establish and expand the Düsseldorf office and GvW's IP practice area", said Mulch, looking forward to his work in the Rhineland metropolis. "I am also very excited about expanding GvW's successful IP/IT practice at its new office."
The new office in the Düsseldorf KöBlick was opened on 01.04.2012. After Dr Malte Hiort and Dr Thomas Senff, the most recent addition to the GvW Düsseldorf team was Dr Bettina Meyer-Hofmann.

Transport System Bögl: new local public passenger transport system a big success in China
The Max Bögl group of companies has developed a new local public passenger transport system. The system called “Transport System Bögl” (TSB) uses magnetic levitation, or “maglev” technology and provides a clean and cost-efficient means of transport for better mobility in inner city areas. The technology is becoming increasingly popular also in other countries: Max Bögl’s most recent export order was the sale of its TSB to China. The company’s plans include building a 3.5 km test track in Chengdu and extensive marketing activities to promote the technology in China – all through a sales partnership with a Chinese company.
