The county Mettmann and the county Ennepe-Ruhr have tendered the search for new police buildings throughout Europe. GvW Graf von Westphalen advised the two counties on public contracting law.
The two county police authorities are each looking for an investor which can provide the appropriate buildings in Velbert and in Hattingen for the term of the lease. Approximately 1,000 m² useable space (without vehicle parking spaces) in Velbert as well as approximately 1,000 m² useable space (without vehicle parking spaces) in Hattingen are required. The deadline for submitting bids and participating for the two tenders ends on 15 March 2016. GvW Graf von Westphalen advised the transmission system operator 50Hertz on the award of a major contract for the North Sea Connector 2 offshore grid connection project. The project involves the planning, construction, installation and commissioning of a converter system comprising an offshore converter platform in the North Sea and an onshore converter station in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The North Sea Connector 2 project is intended to connect offshore wind farms in the North Sea to the German electricity grid in future.
