GvW Graf von Westphalen strengthens Tax Law Expertise – Nicolas Wolski becomes new Counsel in Frankfurt

Nicolas Wolski, LL.M., has joined the law firm Graf von Westphalen. The 33-year old lawyer and tax advisor previously worked at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer for approx. four and a half years and will strengthen the firm’s tax law practice in the Frankfurt office.

Amongst others, Mr Wolski provides tax law advice on national and international M&A transactions and advises companies on national and international corporate tax law matters. In this regard, the Hesse native was also often involved in Chinese-German business transactions. For instance, he provided tax law advice to Zhuzhou Times New Material Technology on the acquisition of the rubber and plastic division of ZF Friedrichshafen and to Ningbo Huaxiang Electronic (NBHX) on the acquisition of core parts of the insolvent Sellner Group.

“With his broad and long-term tax law practice, Mr Wolski perfectly fits into our tax law team”, Dr Frank Tschesche, LL.M., partner and head of the practice area, welcomes the new addition. “This experience also creates further synergies with our Shanghai office”.

The tax law team, which has constantly grown over the last few years, looks after a broad own business and is involved in almost all complex transactions and international participation mandates.
In addition to the aforementioned focus on M&A transactions and corporate tax law, the tax law practice, which was recently again recommended by legal 500, also especially excels in the fields of restructuring and succession planning. At the same time, the firm is present in tax law proceedings with regard to customs and foreign trade and in cases involving commercial and fiscal offences.
