GvW Graf von Westphalen has advised Red Gate Software Ltd. on its investment in 3T Software Labs GmbH. Red Gate Software Ltd. with its headquarters in Cambridge (UK) develops software used by 650,000 IT professionals who work with SQL Server, Azure, .Net, and Oracle. More than 100,000 companies, including 91% of companies in the Fortune 100, use Red Gate products. 3T Software Labs GmbH, a company founded in Berlin in late 2013, develops software and tools for database developers and administrators with a special focus on MongoDB, the next-generation database that helps businesses transform their industries by harnessing the power of data.
Red Gate sees itself as an ideal match for 3T having been in a comparable start-up scenario some ten years ago and expects 3T to be similarly successful. Red Gate believes its investment will be beneficial to both parties offering them the opportunity to make the most of a growing market.
Red Gate was advised by a team of Hamburg based partners Dr. Ritesh Rajani (Lead; Corporate/M&A) and Dr. Patrick Wolff (Commercial). The Cambridge office of Mills & Reeve advised Red Gate on aspects of UK law.
