GvW Graf von Westphalen reinforces its M&A practice with Titus Walek

Titus Walek has joined the M&A practice of the law firm GvW Graf von Westphalen as an equity partner.  The new partner comes from the corporate and technology boutique Heymann & Partner and reinforces the Frankfurt office of GvW.

Mr. Walek advises in the areas of M&A, private equity and venture capital. His clients include financial investors and strategic investors as well as mid-size German family-owned enterprises which he advises in the area of selling the businesses, specifically in connection with arranging for succession. The transaction specialist with a "proven track record in private equity and venture capital transactions" (Chambers Global/Europe) further increases the strength of GvW's dynamic M&A team (more).

Mr. Walek started his career as an attorney in the international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. In the year 2005, he moved at the age of 39 to Heymann & Partner and was involved there as a partner for 13 years in numerous national and international transactions, recently e.g. SmartRecruiters (San Francisco, USA) in the acquisition of Jobspotting GmbH (Berlin) and the shareholders in adaptronic Prüftechnik GmbH (Wertheim) in connection with the sale of a majority participation to the Metall Zug Group (Zug, Switzerland).

Titus Walek says about his move: "With regard to strength in personnel and professional range, GvW provides the capacity of a large law firm and, as a law firm for mid-size clients, is an excellent fit for my client base."
