Law firm for export controls: GvW is one of the top addresses in Europe

The professional magazine WorldECR – The Journal of Export Controls & Sanctions („WorldECR“)  has awarded and recognized the international elite in the field of providing advice on export controls and sanctions in this year  for the second time. The law firm GvW Graf von Westphalen is the only German law firm recommended in the category of export controls in Europe.

GvW is highly respected as the well-known firm in the current issue of WorldECR which is engaged in the development of German and European law. A lead case in the export of machinery for the oil and gas industry to Iran which was one by the law firms of the firm is especially pointed out.

The WorldECR recommendations is a further international award after the successful ranking of the firm in the handbook Who's Who Legal Trade & Customs 2015. GvW was listed in the fall of 2015 as one of two top law firms both in the JUVE Handbook for Commercial Law Firms as well as in the law firm monitor of the German Association of Corporate Lawyers (BUJ).

The foreign trade team at GvW around partners Dr Lothar Harings, Marian Niestedt and Dr Gerd Schwendinger includes a total of nine attorneys at the offices in Hamburg, Düsseldorf and Brussels. The law of governing export controls and sanctions is a major aspect of the international export practice. In addition, our attorneys advice on customs law, anti-dumping law, foreign trade, WTO law, value added tax and consumption tax law as well as on taxes on energy.
