Financing

We advise borrowers as well as lenders and investors in financing and refinancing the acquisition of individual properties and real estate portfolios as well as the restructuring of existing financing. Our advice includes, in addition to classic bank financing, also financing using mezzanine loans and shareholder loans or typical and atypical forms of participation as well as the structuring of closed real estate funds.

Our services include both financing under German law as well as institutional financing, especially on the basis of LMA standard contracts. We work in this field, where appropriate, closely with colleagues in our foreign partner law firms. If multiple financers are involved, we also advise on the relationship and the securing of the individual lenders among each other. We also advise lenders when acquiring loan receivables.

We show lenders and borrowers the risks and possibilities for solutions in distressed loans and provide advice in connection with breaches of contract and/or realization of collateral. 

In addition, we provide services to our clients also in the financing of large construction projects and development projects.
