Dr Sven Wedemeyer advises on EU law with a focus on EU state aid law as well as customs and foreign trade law. He specialized in EU law during his studies and subsequently earned his doctorate with a dissertation in the fields of EU spending policies and state aid law. His practical experience includes work at GvW Graf von Westphalen as well as other international law firms. In addition, he worked both at a state ministry for economic affairs and at the Legal Service of the European Commission in the areas of EU spending policies and state aid law.



Research fellow at the Chair of Public and European Law at the University of Göttingen and at an international corporate law firm specialising in competition and state aid law in Brussels; judicial assistant at Göttingen Local Court; member of the editorial board of the journal “Agrar- und Umweltrecht” (AUR)
Studied in Göttingen, Kaliningrad and Florence; legal traineeship at the Higher Regional Court of Braunschweig, with stages in Hanover, Hamburg and Brussels
