Dr Hartmut Henninger's practice focuses on customs, VAT and foreign trade law. He has long-standing experience in setting up trade compliance programs in companies of all industries and assists his clients in external audits. This also includes advising on due diligence obligations in the supply chain, in particular the Supply Chain Act. One focus of his work is representing companies in disputes with the customs authorities and BAFA as well as in court; he also regularly represents companies and responsible persons in criminal and administrative fine proceedings relating to customs or foreign trade law. Dr Henninger has particular expertise in the areas of customs tariff classification and origin of goods & preferences, as well as in all questions of (import) VAT in cross-border trade in goods.
