GvW Graf von Westphalen is in demand for Labour Law related Restructuring

GvW Graf von Westphalen advised Australian Orica group on the restructuring of its F&E units in Europe with Christof Kleinmann in the lead and coordinated the consulting services of the other European partner firms. Moreover, the firm currently advises on the restructuring of Orica’s European production plants.

Orica with its headquarters in Melbourne has approx. 14,000 employees worldwide at production sites in more than 50 countries. 75% of the staff are working outside of Australia and New Zealand. The corporation which is listed at the S&P/ASX 50 exchange is specialized in the production of explosives and other chemical products.

GvW’s lawyers in the employment law practice group are currently advising some German mid-sized companies on their restructuring process. Among the clients are a Bavarian manufacturer of electronic components, a Saxon paper producer and a life science producer based in North Rhine Westphalia, which all had to downsize staff due to the transfer of production abroad.

The employment law practice active in restructuring (JUVE Handbuch 2013/2014) headed by Hamburg-based partner Dr Malte Evers consists of nine lawyers at offices in Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich.
