International ethics standards are intended to secure trust in the real estate industry. The International Ethics Standards Coalition (IESC) has made this its goal and established a corresponding coalition.GvW Graf von Westphalen is the first German law firm to support the IESC.
16 organizations initiated the IESC two years ago in order to establish global standards for trading in the real estate industry on the basis of ethical principles. In the meantime, the coalition has grown to 60 institutions and companies.
The large supporters of the IESC include the international well-known professional organization RICS. Together with numerous regional associations in RICS in Germany, the law firm organized in recent months various real estate events involving housing for refugees.
GvW Graf von Westphalen advised the transmission system operator 50Hertz on the award of a major contract for the North Sea Connector 2 offshore grid connection project. The project involves the planning, construction, installation and commissioning of a converter system comprising an offshore converter platform in the North Sea and an onshore converter station in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The North Sea Connector 2 project is intended to connect offshore wind farms in the North Sea to the German electricity grid in future.
