Artisense offers a cutting-edge computer vision product for real-time localization, mapping, and navigation of highly automated or fully autonomous vehicles. It was founded in 2016 as a spin-off of the computer vision research group at the Technical University of Munich, one of the world’s leading centers in its field. The companies belonging to the Artisense group are based in Munich (Germany), Palo Alto (California, U.S.A.) and Tokyo (Japan). They are active in the field of visual inertial navigation and other related technologies.
The current shareholders of Artisense include (amongst others) the company’s founders and the VC investors Vito Ventures (Munich, Germany) and Project A (Berlin, Germany).
Kudan Inc. ("Kudan") is a technology company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange with headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. Kudan provides artificial perception algorithms governing spatial and positional recognition, primarily for application in the fields of autonomous driving, robotics, AR/VR and drone technology.
Kudan has initially acquired a 12% stake in Artisense; the acquisition of the remaining shares will take place in several further steps.

The project involves the planning, construction, installation and commissioning of a converter system comprising an offshore converter platform in the North Sea and an onshore converter station in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The North Sea Connector 2 project is intended to connect offshore wind farms in the North Sea to the German electricity grid in future.
