GvW Graf von Westphalen has advised Mirion Technologies on the acquisition of the personal dosimetry service facility (AWST) from Helmholtz Zentrum München

GvW Graf von Westphalen has advised Miron Technologies on the acquisition of  the personal dosimetry service facility (“AWST”) from Helmholtz Zentrum München Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Gesundheit und Umwelt (GmbH) („HMGU“) in the context of an auction process.

Mirion Technologies (“Mirion”) with seat in San Ramon/California is a global leader in the provision of dosimeter services and the largest manufacturer of radiation measurement and detection technologies worldwide. The company with development and production facilities in North America, Europe and Asia offers innovative products and services for industries such as nuclear power plants, military and civil defense agencies, hospitals, universities and laboratory companies.

As an official measurement facility, AWST is responsible for monitoring and supporting around 175,000 people in the German federal states of Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, Hesse, Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein who are exposed to radiation at work. It is the largest measurement facility in Europe, calculating around 1.8 million doses annually.
