Record year 2017: GvW Graf von Westphalen substantially increases billings and profit

GvW Graf von Westphalen generated revenue in the financial year 2017 of 42.2 million Euro and, thus, an increase in billings of 5.1 percent compared to the previous year. The profit had an even greater increase. The profit of 18.4 million Euro was 12.2 percent higher than in the previous year.

All practice groups in the firm contributed equally to the good numbers. The development was particularly dynamic in the areas of M&A, IP/IT/media (incl. data protection), real estate and construction and public law. The M&A practice was able to realize excellent results with numerous international transactions, including by Chinese investors in Germany. The law firm's strong office in Shanghai also played an important role.

384,000 Euro "billings per professional" is a new high for the firm. The attorneys in the foreign trade and customs practice group continue to have particular success and defended their leading position in Germany in the year 2017 (more).

Under the leadership of Christof Kleinmann and Dr. Robert Theissen, GvW was able to again achieve a new record year. The management was confirmed in office for two more years just in the fall of last year (more).
