GvW Graf von Westphalen has advised Mirion Technologies on the acquisition of Dosimetrics GmbH.
Mirion Technologies (“Mirion”) with seat in San Ramon/California is the largest manufacturer of radiation measurement and detection technologies worldwide and a global leader in the provision of dosimeter services. The company with development and production facilities in North America, Europe and Asia offers innovative products and services for industries such as nuclear power plants, military and civil defense agencies, hospitals, universities and laboratory companies.
Dosimetrics GmbH is a manufacturer and service provider for personal radiation dosimeters and dosimetry solutions. As a spin-off of Helmholtz Zentrum München, the Munich-based company offers technologies for easy detection and high-speed readout of personal doses since 2013.
GvW Graf von Westphalen has advised Mirion under the lead of Munich based M&A partner Felix Wolf with a team comprised by Marian Niestedt, Nina Kunigk (both foreign trade law), Dr Frank Tschesche, Dr Michael Engel (both tax law), Christoph Hauptvogel, Anton Kastenmüller, Denise Waelde (both employment), Dr Maren Mönchmeyer (Commercial), Dr Joachim Mulch, Benedikt Beierle (both IP) and Christian Kusulis (antitrust law). Following the acquisition of the Auswertungsstelle für Strahlendosimetrie (AWST) from Helmholtz Zentrum München, this is the second transaction in 2020 in which a team led by Felix Wolf has advised the US company.
GvW Graf von Westphalen advised the transmission system operator 50Hertz on the award of a major contract for the North Sea Connector 2 offshore grid connection project. The project involves the planning, construction, installation and commissioning of a converter system comprising an offshore converter platform in the North Sea and an onshore converter station in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The North Sea Connector 2 project is intended to connect offshore wind farms in the North Sea to the German electricity grid in future.
GvW Graf von Westphalen has advised Primepulse and Vsquared Ventures on the Series C financing round of NEURA Robotics GmbH. The transaction ranks among the largest venture financing rounds in the European startup ecosystem to date.
