IQB goes to the F.A.Z. – GvW Graf von Westphalen advises the sole shareholder of the recruiting service provider in the sale of the company

Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung GmbH (F.A.Z.) has acquired IQB Career Services GmbH (IQB). GvW Graf von Westphalen provided legal advice in the sale to the sole shareholder of the company Hans Eick.

IQB is one of the leading recruiting service providers for academicians in Germany. Established in 1996, the company, headquartered in Frankfurt, offers around 30 career events every year, including with JURAcon, the market leader in career trade fairs for fully qualified jurists, law clerks and law students.

As the F.A.Z. writes, "by acquiring IQB, it is entering the recruiting market for graduates and young professionals." One goal is "to attract younger target groups more strongly to the brand by strategic purchases."

GvW supported Hans Eick in the transaction with the Frankfurt partner and head of the M&A practice group Dr Markus Sachslehner as well as Dr Frank Tschesche (tax). A team established by the M&A practice group head in the firm already successfully advised IQB in the sale of the former IQB subsidiary Convent to the Zeit publishing house.
