As a lawyer and former customs officer, Roman Jusen has several years of practical experience in the entire spectrum of customs and foreign trade law. He deepened his knowledge by specialising in international and European public law during his studies, and as a as a trainee lawyer at international commercial law firms in Hamburg and Brussels, working in the areas of investment screening, export controls and sanctions. Roman Jusen is also an editor at the specialist journal Rüstung, Sicherheit & Recht (RüSiR) – Journal for Defence, Homeland Security, Cyber & Space, which is published quarterly by the dfv Mediengruppe.
