New business model in the electricity market – beegy GmbH initiates with GvW Graf von Westphalen the "end of the electricity bill"

beegy GmbH has developed a further digital innovation in the electricity  market. The Mannheim - based energy service and electricity provider  now offers its customers a new holistic solution with the new, modular product "beegyLIVE" which comprises a  photovoltaic system, battery storage, digital energy management and all corresponding services at a single fixed price, including a flat rate for solar power.

This means specifically: In the future, the beegy customer can produce its own solar power on its  roof, directly consume the electricity generated  or store the power in a battery storage system in order to consume  it later as needed. Any excess electricity produced  is passed on automatically. If the customer's photovoltaic system produces too little, the customer automatically obtains electricity from the beegyCOMMUNITY without any additional price, so to say as a flat rate.

With this model the "end of the electricity bill" has been initiated for the consumer. The "beegyLIVE" customer pays in the future only a service fee and in return  as much electricity  as actually needs. The package comes complete with a 20 year guarantee on the photovoltaic system, the battery storage, the charging station and the converter and also comprises  comprehensive technical monitoring as well as information by a webportal and beegyApp. You may obtain further details about "beegyLIVE" at www.beegy.com" target="_blank" title="Helmut Kempf">Helmut Kempf (lead partner, energy) as well as Arnd Böken, Dr Maren Mönchmeyer and Dr Christian Triebe has provided comprehensive advice to "beegyLIVE", including in energy law, data privacy, andprotection, IT/IP as well as topics relating to general terms and conditions.

Digitalization in the energy industry is a main aspect of the advice provided by the GvW energy team. At the recent Stadtwerke convention 2016, our attorneys showed specifically what legal aspects need to be observed by  energy companies when  making themselves (more) fit for the digital future.
