Unified Commu­nications: GvW advises German Midwich Subsi­diary on acqui­sition of UC Busi­ness from eLink Distribu­tion AG

GvW has advised Kern & Stelly Medientechnik GmbH, a German subsidiary of the UK Midwich Group, on the acquisition of the UC business from eLink Distribution AG.

The globally active Midwich Group with its headquarters in the United Kingdom is one of the leading distributers of technology solutions in the audio-visual sector. The Midwich Group has long-standing relationships with over 500 vendors including blue chip organisations. GvW partner Dr. Ritesh Rajani, advised Midwich for several years, inter alia, on the acquisition of Kern & Stelly Medientechnik, the acquisition of New Media as well as the £165 million initial public offering (IPO) on London Stock Exchange’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM).

Kern & Stelly is one of the largest distributors for presentation and media technology in Germany. As a partner of renowned international companies, the Hamburg based company offers a broad range of audio-visual products including projectors, displays, signal management solutions, interactive white boards and document cameras.

With the acquisition of the UC business of eLink Distribution AG, the company has enhanced its expertise in the areas of Unified Communications (UC) and Unified Communications & Collaboration (UCC). eLink Distribution AG has specialised in these fields of business as leading distributor of visual communication and innovative network solutions in the DACH region for several years.

Under the lead of Hamburg partner Dr Ritesh Rajani (Corporate/M&A), Midwich was advised by a team consisting of Laurens Klinkert, Gregor R.
