The law firm GvW Graf von Westphalen continues to strengthen its employment law practice: Following team additions in Munich and Berlin, a six-person team from Eversheds Sutherland moved to GvW on 1 January. In addition to Dr Nina Springer (Equity Partner) and Léon Wolters (Equity Partner), Dr Franziska von Kummer (Local Partner) and Inge Ditscherlein (Assistant) have joined the Hamburg office, while Dr Adrian Löser (Local Partner) and Dr. Elisa Kottlors (Counsel) work for the firm from Berlin and Munich respectively.
The team's areas of expertise include providing employment law advice on restructurings and reorganisations, with a focus on the automotive, mechanical engineering and healthcare industries. In these sectors, many companies have been relying on the expertise of the specialist employment lawyers for years.
‘We are very pleased to be strengthened by our new colleagues, who not only possess the right professional skills but are also a perfect personal fit. With their expertise and the many interfaces, such as in crisis consulting, we can offer our clients even more comprehensive and bespoke consulting services,’ explain Christof Kleinmann and Dr Robert Theissen, both Managing Partners of the law firm.
The GvW employment law team, led by practice group head Dr Philipp Wiesenecker, now includes 28 lawyers with the new additions. The practice group has also grown steadily from within its own ranks: Marius Bodenstedt, who is based in Hamburg and began his career at the law firm, was recently elected as an equity partner (more).
Dr Nina Springer and Léon Wolters on their move: ‘With its focus on advising upper mid-sized companies, GvW is an excellent match for our client portfolio. The firm has an outstanding reputation in the market. We are convinced that this, together with the cross-office and cross-practice group cooperation at GvW, offers us great potential’.
