Dominik Ziegenhahn appointed to the Board of the Chinese European Legal Association e. V. (CELA)

Dominik Ziegenhahn, partner in the Hamburg office of Graf von Westphalen and specializing in corporate law, has been appointed Vice President of the Board of the Chinese European Legal Association e. V. ("CELA"). He was elected to this position by the members of CELA in December 2011.

Graf von Westphalen is a founding member of CELA, a non-profit organization fostering interaction on law and legal culture issues between China and Europe. CELA is dedicated, in particular, to strengthening the cooperation between national and international dispute resolution institutions. By supporting stronger ties between these institutions, CELA aims to offer the international trade and investment community a broad range of venues for pragmatic, cost-efficient conflict resolution.

Dominik Ziegenhahn's appointment reaffirms Graf von Westphalen's outstanding position in German-Chinese legal advisory services, and reflects the rigorous expansion of the firm's China Corporate & Commercial Litigation practice, which is gaining increasing importance for our clients.

With 12 specialized lawyers handling Chinese legal and commercial affairs out of Germany and Shanghai, Graf von Westphalen advises European and Chinese clients in their cross-border business activities. Many of the law firm's German clients from the trade, transport and manufacturing industries already operate in Asia. As the significance of their Chinese business continues to grow, so does their demand for specialized legal consultancy services.
