GvW advises in the acquisition of Chronoswiss

The owners of Chronoswiss Uhren GmbH have sold the family-owned watchmaker business, based in Karlsfeld near Munich, to Swiss-based investors Eva and Oliver Ebstein. The Chronoswiss brand was created by Mr Gerd-Rüdiger Lang. The Ebstein family will continue the tradition and history of the Chronoswiss brand and Mr Lang's lifetime achievement of making mechanical timepieces from premium Swiss components to the highest quality standard. The status of Chronoswiss as an independent family business will therefore be retained.

Oliver Ebstein: "We are very happy to take on full responsibility of the company and its employees, and we will personally get involved in making a long-term commitment. Chronoswiss is a gem! We would like to actively design the future of this fantastic brand and we look forward to making this a success together with the Chronoswiss team."

Mr Gerd-Rüdiger Lang will continue to advise and offer his watchmaking expertise to the company.
Graf von Westphalen advised the Ebstein family on the complex acquisition process.

German advisers to the Ebstein family: Graf von Westphalen (Frankfurt) - Mr Florian Wolff (corporate M&A, lead management).

Swiss advisers to the Ebstein family: Homburger AG (Zurich) - Dr. Stefan Knobloch (Legal Advice).
