GvW Graf von Westphalen adds its own notary's office to its Frankfurt office
On 1 April 2013, lawyer and notary Dr Daniel Komo LL.M. joined GvW Graf von Westphalen as new of counsel. Dr Komo is to establish a notary's office at GvW’s Frankfurt office.
Dr Komo specialises in notarising corporate law documents. In the past, as junior partner of a Frankfurt law firm, the specialist lawyer for commercial and corporate law carried out notarisations for large national and international law firms as well as for a leading accountancy firm - particularly in connection with corporate mergers, company sales, the establishment of subsidiaries, amendments to articles of association and partnership agreements, capital increases and resolutions relating to corporate agreements.
Prior to joining GvW, Dr Komo gained two years' experience working as a lawyer in the fields of corporate law/M&A at an international law firm. In addition to his role as notary, the lecturer in commercial law at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences will therefore also assist GvW’s corporate/commercial practice group as a lawyer.
With 57 lawyers overall, GvW’s corporate/commercial practice group represents the firm’s largest practice area. Over the course of the last year, the turnover development in this practice area was very good: A turnover increase of 10 % as compared to 2011 was achieved with a client base made up of mainly medium-sized companies. A predominant part of the work was of an international nature.
