With Amprion commissioning Hitachi Energy to manufacture four converter stations for the ‘Corridor B’ HVDC project, wind energy will be transported from the North Sea coast in Schleswig-Holstein and Lower Saxony to the Ruhr area, supplying around four million people with electricity.
Siemens Energy and Dragados Offshore can start planning the converter stations for the LanWin1 and LanWin3 offshore grid connection systems.
