Dr Klaus Landry's main areas of practice include tax law, commercial and corporate law, and customs and foreign trade law. From 1990 to 1999, Dr Landry was President of the Hanseatic Bar Association Hamburg. In addition to his work as a lawyer, he was a member of the founding commission and the board of trustees of Bucerius Law School, chairman of the supervisory board of the Joachim Herz Foundation, a member of the supervisory board of tesa SE and a member of the board of trustees of the Max Planck Institute. He has been culturally active as Chairman of the Board of the Hamburg Cultural Foundation and on the Supervisory Board of Hamburg's Thalia Theatre.
