The new Act on Corporate Due Diligence in Supply Chains (Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz, LkSG) requires companies to ensure the protection of human rights and environmental standards in their international supply chains. Although the LkSG does not enter into force until 1 January 2023, companies should prepare early for the potential impact of the new Act on their supply chains. The scope of the LkSG is broad; it will affect not only large companies but indirectly also those that are part of the supply chain of large companies.

The "ESG Check: Lieferkette" provides an initial overview of potential risks and obligations arising from the new Act. Clients will receive a free systematic evaluation of the extent to which they are affected and what measures they can take to prepare for the Act.
