The European Union and the United States have published a declaration that creates a new framework for transatlantic trade and puts economic relations between the EU and the US on a new footing.

The agreement reached by the EU Member States in the Council of the European Union on the reform of the Union Customs Code forms the basis for the upcoming negotiations with the European Parliament and the Commission in the trialogue procedure.
