Helping out, getting to know other working and living environments together and getting involved in society - these are important goals of our corporate volunteering activities, in which our employees actively participate in projects.
Cooking in the Ronald McDonald Houses
The McDonald's Children's Aid Foundation operates 22 Ronald McDonald Houses throughout Germany. Families of seriously ill children are given a temporary home in the immediate vicinity of the children's hospital. Among other things, the foundation offers the families "pampering dinners", which are also hosted by companies. Such as by the employees of the law firm, who have already cooked for the families at various locations.
Malteser Social Days
The Malteser Social Days are also about proving skills that are unused in everyday working life. Since last year, there has been a cooperation between Malteser and the law firm for Social Days at the GvW locations. As soon as the Corona crisis allows personal encounters again, GvW employees pitch in together to try to support social projects in the neighbourhood: Renovation projects in day-care centres, job application training in schools and food distribution to the homeless are just a few examples.

For us, corporate social responsibility (CSR) as a law firm means assuming social responsibility and acting in accordance with ecological and social values. We are convinced that we, as a law firm, can also operate in a sustainable and value-oriented manner and, in this respect, we would like to live up to our role and responsibility in society.
