GvW Graf von Westphalen has advised Swedish ZetaDisplay AB on the acquisition of retailmediatools GmbH.
retailmediatools GmbH, based in Berlin, operates a retail media platform which is made available to retailers as infrastructure-as-a-service. Founded in 2021, the company combines ad serving, campaign management, first-party audience building and the delivery of advertising at the point of sale on the basis of a modular, API-first architecture. Retailers can use individual modules or a complete end-to-end solution while retaining control over their data, their advertiser relationships and their media business. The company’s customers include leading retailers in Europe and Latin America.
ZetaDisplay AB with its headquarters in Malmö (Sweden), a portfolio company of private equity investor Hanover Investors, is one of the leading European providers of digital signage solutions. Founded in 2003, the company has its own subsidiaries in eight European countries and the United States, manages more than 125,000 active installations in over 50 countries and employs approx. 250 people.
With the acquisition of retailmediatools GmbH, ZetaDisplay further expands its position as a full-service provider for digital signage and retail media. Combining ZetaDisplay's digital signage infrastructure with retailmediatools' retail media orchestration creates an integrated retail media ecosystem that enables retailers to transform their physical spaces into measurable and scalable media channels. retailmediatools GmbH will continue to operate under its existing brand.

GvW Graf von Westphalen advised the transmission system operator 50Hertz on the award of a major contract for the North Sea Connector 2 offshore grid connection project. The project involves the planning, construction, installation and commissioning of a converter system comprising an offshore converter platform in the North Sea and an onshore converter station in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The North Sea Connector 2 project is intended to connect offshore wind farms in the North Sea to the German electricity grid in future.
GvW Graf von Westphalen has advised Primepulse and Vsquared Ventures on the Series C financing round of NEURA Robotics GmbH. The transaction ranks among the largest venture financing rounds in the European startup ecosystem to date.
