GvW Graf von Westphalen supports IMMOEBS at the 25th anniversary
The real estate network IMMOEBS celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. On the occasion of the anniversary, for which we would like to congratulate IMMOEBS, there will be several anniversary events in Berlin starting tomorrow. GvW Graf von Westphalen is a partner in the real estate forum “networking” on Friday.
The celebration begins in the morning with the membership meeting and a boat trip through the downtown of Berlin. The substantive program in the real estate forum, which is supported by GvW, will take place together with the formal dinner as well as the subsequent anniversary celebration on Friday. The program will be rounded off by the 20th so-called IMMOEBS golf trophy at the Berlin Golf and Country Club Motzener See on Saturday.
Various researchers will prevent an outlook for the future at the real estate forum. This will involve especially the phenomenon of the so-called “swarm cities”, issues of mobility such as the “smart city” and the future in the world of labor, “network working”. In addition to four presentations, well-known researchers will discuss the issues also in two panel discussions with approx. 150 participants.
GvW is a supporting member of IMMOEBS and conducted events throughout the nation with regard to housing for refugees this year, together with the network. IMMOEBS is the largest alumni network in the real estate industry in Germany with more than 2,700 members as well as around 60 supporting businesses.

Federal Administrative Court: Fehmarn Belt Fixed Link may be built
The Federal Administrative Court has dismissed all six pending appeals against the planning decision on the Fehmarn Belt Fixed Link. Construction of the tunnel may therefore now also begin in Germany. GvW advised the State of Schleswig-Holstein and was represented by a Hamburg team consisting of Dr Ronald Steiling (lead), Corinna Lindau, Dr Dietrich Drömann, Prof. Dr Christian Winterhoff, Dr Andreas Wolowski, Saskia Soravia, Dr Stefanie Ramsauer, Dr Annika Bleier, Felix Kazimierski and Niclas Langhans. Transport System Bögl: new local public passenger transport system a big success in China
The Max Bögl group of companies has developed a new local public passenger transport system. The system called “Transport System Bögl” (TSB) uses magnetic levitation, or “maglev” technology and provides a clean and cost-efficient means of transport for better mobility in inner city areas. The technology is becoming increasingly popular also in other countries: Max Bögl’s most recent export order was the sale of its TSB to China. The company’s plans include building a 3.5 km test track in Chengdu and extensive marketing activities to promote the technology in China – all through a sales partnership with a Chinese company.
