Lawyers of GvW Graf von Westphalen now advise five University Hospitals on Procurement Projects

GvW Graf von Westphalen now also advises university hospital Universitätsklinikum Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) on public procurement law. In addition to a hospital in Bavaria and the clinics Cologne, Dusseldorf and Bonn, UKE is already the fifth university hospital to get the GvW lawyer’s advice on procurement projects.

GvW’s procurement team which liaises across all office locations is therefore further expanding its expertise in the health care sector. In addition to the university hospitals, numerous communal hospitals and medical insurance companies are among the clients of the practice group. Its consultancy services include the tendering of additional private health services as well as discount agreements or the interface topic state aid and subsidies.

UKE is advised by Dr Bettina Meyer-Hofmann, partner at the Dusseldorf office, and Nils Weng. As head of the healthcare division, Dr Bettina Meyer-Hofmann also combines the activities of GvW lawyers from other disciplines in the health care sector. For instance, on 21 October 2014, the ‘GvW Health Care Day’ will take place for the first time. Industry experts will present solutions for the various legal constraints to (public) health care businesses.
