GvW advises Hengst Filtration on acquisition of Chinese air filtration specialist CSC Tech

GvW Graf von Westphalen has comprehensively advised Hengst Filtration on its acquisition of the Chinese air filtration specialist CSC Tech. With this transaction, Hengst Filtration takes another significant step in its transformation from an automotive supplier to a filtration specialist across multiple industries. The Münster-based company has signed an agreement to acquire CSC Tech, thereby becoming a full-service provider for the semiconductor industry.

CSC Tech manufactures fan filter units (FFUs) as well as HEPA and ULPA filters for cleanroom operations of Chinese and Taiwanese microchip and electronics manufacturers. This product range perfectly complements Hengst’s expertise in particle and gas filtration, as well as trace gas filtration through its subsidiary artemis control AG. Going forward, the Hengst Group will offer a full portfolio for cleanroom and semiconductor production.

The Hengst in-house team consisted of Christian Leupold (Group General Counsel) and Stephanie Untiedt (Senior Group Legal Counsel). The GvW team was led by partners Dr. Dominic Koestner and Patrick Heid and included associates Yingci Geng, Huanlei Yan, Lei Lyu, Hongyu Chen, Chen Li, Ronnia Zheng and Dr. Leonard Schmitz (all Corporate/M&A, Shanghai).
