GvW advises on the sale of SmartRep to KAMIC Group
GvW Graf von Westphalen has advised the shareholders of SmartRep GmbH on the sale of the company to the Swedish KAMIC Group.
SmartRep GmbH is one of the leading suppliers of machines and consumables for the electronics sector in the D-A-CH region. The company, which is headquartered in Hanau (Germany) and has a sales office and demonstration centre in Günzburg (Germany), will become part of the Production Technology business area of KAMIC Group.
KAMIC Group is a Swedish group of companies that now includes 40 trading and manufacturing companies. The companies in the group employ some 1,700 people in 14 countries in Europe, Asia and North America and generate annual sales of approximatelySEK 3.7 billion.
GvW advised the shareholders of SmartRep on this transaction through Titus Walek (lead), Alexander Metz (both M&A), Dr Michael Engel (Tax), Christian Kusulis, Alexander Rösch (both Antitrust), Dr Philipp Wiesenecker and Denise Waelde (both Employment).

The project involves the planning, construction, installation and commissioning of a converter system comprising an offshore converter platform in the North Sea and an onshore converter station in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The North Sea Connector 2 project is intended to connect offshore wind farms in the North Sea to the German electricity grid in future.
