TÜV Saarland acquires a stake in authorized.by with GvW Graf von Westphalen

TÜV Saarland has acquired a stake in authorized.by: The company acquired a participation of 25.1 percent in the Munich startup with the support of attorneys from GvW Graf von Westphalen.

authorized.by offers a digital platform for better protection of brands in eCommerce. This enables brand producers to mark their online partners with a counterfeit seal of genuineness and accordingly establish transparency for the consumer. This gives brands a management tool for digital trading and supports their authorized trading partners. Numerous international brands and dealers in different industries are using the platform. The partners of the Munich startup established in the year 2016 include, among others, the leading online marketplace eBay.   

TÜV Saarland is emphasizing with its stake in authorize.by its focus on the examination and certification of online offerings. TÜV Saarland Holding, which has responsibility for the operational business, already has participations in various companies in Germany and foreign countries in the fields of technical consulting, ZfP (non-destructive testing - zerstörungsfreie Prüfung), IT security, data protection and certification.
