Is There Room for Private Parties in International Space Law?
The panel will discuss international space law’s focus on States to the exclusion of private parties, the importance of transposing international space law into domestic law, the need for a Center for the Settlement of Outer Space Disputes to allow for claims by private parties against States, and the protection of investments in space under bilateral investment treaties.
